The First Baptist Church of Bedford, Iowa, was founded
in 1854. The current sanctuary was built in 1900, with the Educational extension added in the 1960's.

The purpose of this church shall be to maintain public
services for the worship of God and for the teaching and preaching of the Gospel, and in general to promote the interest
of the Kingdom of God according to the teachings of Christ.
